Le comité national de lutte contre le VIH SiDA et partenaires ont animée une conférence de presse ce Mercredi 22 novembre 2023 a la Maison de la presse.

FINANCEMENT DURABLE ET EOUITABLE DES
RIPOSTES AU VIH/SIDA

Chaque année, 1ONUSIDA fournit des estimations modélisées
revisées au niveau mondial, régional et national en utilisant les
meilleures données épidémiologiques et programmatiques disponibles
pour suivre l’épidémie de VIH. Des estimations modélisées sont
nécessaires, car iln’est pas possible de connaitre le nombre exact dc
personnes vivant avec le VIH, de personnes nouvellement infectées
par le VIH ou de personnes décédées de causes liées au sida dans un
pays: pour ce faire, il faudrait soumettre régulièrement chaque
individu à un test VIH et enquêter sur tous les décès, ce quin’est pas
faisable sur le plan logistique et problématique sur le plan éthique. Les
estimations modélisées (et les limites inférieures et supérieures de ces
estimations) fournissent un moyen scientifiquement approprié de
décrire les niveaux et les tendances de l’épidémie de VIH. Les équipes
nationales utilisent un logiciel pris en charge par l’ONUSIDA pour
établir des estimations annuelles. Les équipes nationales se composent
essentiellement de spécialistes nationaux du suivi et de I’évaluation,
de responsables de programmes, d’épidémiologistes, de démographes
et d’autres personnes du ministère national de la Santé, des
organismes nationaux de lutte contre le sida et des partenaires
techniques.
