Burkina Faso: la junte au pouvoir suspend le magazine français Jeune Afrique


Le Burkina Faso a annoncé, lundi soir, la suspension de « tous les supports de diffusion » du média Jeune Afrique, qui compte un journal papier et un site internet, après la parution d’articles évoquant des tensions au sein de l’armée burkinabè.

Le « gouvernement de transition » a « ainsi décidé en toute responsabilité de la suspension jusqu’à nouvel ordre de tous les supports de diffusion de Jeune Afrique au Burkina Faso à compter de ce lundi 25 septembre », a écrit dans un communiqué le porte-parole du gouvernement et ministre de la Communication, Rimtalba Jean Emmanuel Ouédraogo.

La junte justifie sa décision par la diffusion d’un nouvel article « mensonger sur le site du journal Jeune Afrique, intitulé : ‘Au Burkina Faso, toujours des tensions au sein de l’armée, publié lundi. « Cette publication fait suite à un article précédent dudit journal sur le même site », publié jeudi, « dans lequel Jeune Afrique alléguait qu »Au Burkina Faso, la grogne monte dans les casernes’ », ajoute le ministre.

Selon le gouvernement, « ces affirmations faites à dessein sans l’ombre d’un début de preuve n’ont pour seul but que de jeter un discrédit inacceptable sur les Forces armées nationales et par-delà l’ensemble des forces combattantes.
